Ten Seasons… A Successful Educational Journey

Ten Seasons... A Successful Educational Journey

Since its launch, the Mohamed Bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School has established itself as one of the UAE’s most successful heritage education initiatives, drawing on an educational model that combines knowledge, practice, and national values.

This success is reflected in the steady growth of student enrolment in its programmes. From attracting 100 students during its inaugural season (2016–2017), the school reached its highest level of participation in its tenth season (2025–2026), with a total of 3,074 trainees.

Over ten educational seasons, a total of 9,747 participants have benefited from the School’s programmes, including 6,189 males (63.5%) and 3,558 females (36.5%). These figures clearly reflect the growing community participation and increasing interest in the School’s specialised programmes.

Statistics from the tenth season also highlighted the range of educational programmes and activities offered by the School. A total of 819 students participated in the School Visits Programme, while 122 participated in the Foundation Course and 27 in the Membership Course. In addition, more than 2,000 students benefited from the external activities and events organised by the School throughout the season.

The school targets the 7–17 age group, reflecting its belief in the importance of investing in younger generations as the true guarantors of the continuity of this cultural heritage. Its programmes have gradually expanded to include foundation courses, membership programmes, seasonal camps, group introductory and tourism visits, and virtual learning programmes.

The school has also strengthened its humanitarian and community role by hosting the children of martyrs and welcoming diverse student delegations. It has reinforced its international presence by hosting participants in the Emirati-Japanese Falconry Program, as well as welcoming diverse diplomatic delegations, further confirming its role as a platform for cultural exchange and civilizational dialogue through falconry.
