The Mohamed Bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School follows an educational model that integrates theoretical study with practical field experience, based on the belief that much of the knowledge of falconry cannot be acquired from books alone, but rather through direct engagement and field experience. The surrounding desert has therefore become an open-air learning space where students explore the components of the desert and understand their connection to the history of the Emirati people, while gaining practical experience of the skills and values associated with this enduring heritage.

In this context, students receive practical training in the safe handling of falcons, understanding their behaviour, and the proper methods of caring for them. They also use a lure (Telwah) to train falcons and become familiar with traditional and modern falconry equipment.

The educational experience also includes field trips introducing students to desert plants, the etiquette of desert expeditions, and the principles of Desert Physiognomy, strengthening their connection to the local environment while developing their observation and inferential skills.

This approach extends beyond developing technical skills associated with falconry to building character and instilling enduring values such as patience, discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and respect for nature. Through these comprehensive learning experiences, the school provides an educational model that helps prepare a generation that is more aware of its national identity and more capable of carrying this human heritage into the future.
